some experimental sounds

each of the recordings titled thoroughness is different set-ups of no-input mixer feedback improvisations. i had a dream i did some no-input feedback recordings and named them "thoroughness" and so that's what i did. there are harsh moments, but i trended toward keeping things not full blasto. overall these are modestly noisy drone recordings

painful times is me sitting on a concrete floor at an empty room that used to be a factory i worked at, water is dripping from the ceiling and i'm playing various steel pails in an improvisation with the drips. january 28, 2021. this could probably have gone on the album A Forest In the Sky, it was done around the time i was working on it. maybe it should've, i dunno. it was early in the pandemic just post , the burning forest, Trump's mob storming the capitol, and me emptying out the factory where i worked for 25 years.

the reservoirs filled in a day is an improvisation with a homemade instrument i call tines. it was made september 13 2014, the title is a reference to the flood disaster of 2013 in colorado. lumpy, my cat was there with me, and neither he nor i had gotten sick yet, but i was just a month away from ending up in the hospital.
