about

Originally released on the Impulsy Stetoskopu label on CD as a limited edition of 120 in 2009.

After an initial single track collaboration which appeared on PBK's 1997 Headmix album as "Slow Seed (Heat-Island Effect Mix)", I sent Phillip Klingler some further source files to mess with for a longer collaboration. Phil finished some mixes pretty quickly, and sent me source material to re-work, but for various reasons, I felt like I wasn't yet up to the task of doing his source material justice until several years later. A slow gestation seems to be typical of my collaborative work, might be one reason I don't participate in collabs more often. Happily we have had a few more collaborative collisions of sound in our history, which you can find scattered throughout our discographies.

The original liner notes to the CD release were written by Phil:
"Over the last ten years PBK had occasionally sent source material to C. Reider for collaboration, however, it never came together. Suddenly, earlier this year PBK was surprised to find a parcel in the mail from C. Reider with the finished master inside. He played it and found the mixes to be a new kind of 21st century psychedelic drone space music."
